hey! This is Richard e-mail peggyr@mchsi.com

I have a question about my Buick WE4. When I drive for awhile and come up to a red light the engine shouts off. Does not do it all the time seams only when it is hot out. Has this happen to anyone and what did you do to fix the problem?

Thanks,
Richard

Check your wires going from your battery (including the ECM orange wire) for bare spots. Could be touching occasionally and grounding out at random.

It only happens when it's hot outside?
How does the trans shift when it is hot outside?
The reason I ask is, it could be your TCC solenoid gets stuck when it's hot and it's not letting
the TCC disengage killing the engine when you come to a stop.
Does this only happen when the car is fully warmed up say after ten minutes of driving?
If the TCC is stuck it causes early upshifts, at least it did in my car and it caused the engine to stall when coming to a stop.
Shift into neutral or park and it starts right back up.
