Problem with scanmaster 2.1

I have been trying to install my scanmaster ver 2.1 and hooked up all the connectios as per the instructions, no info comes on. The only time anything happens is when I turn the car on and the display lights up momentarily for 1-2 seconds and then goes blank once again.

Has anyone had this problem?

What ECM are you running?

Maybe your scan master is bad. Make sure it has a good ground connection. Put one in my car about a year ago and it works perfect. Re-check your connections maybe. Good luck.

Do you have continuity between ALDL "E" and ECM "A8" ?

Got it!!!!!!!
found open in the ALDL "E" and ECM "A8" circuit, repaired and works fine now,
