How do I program a new remote for my friend's 99 Buick Regal GS?

On the ALDL take a paperclip and jump 1 and 8 with the key on. The door locks will cycle, when they do hold unlock, and lock until the locks cycle again. This should get it done, if not you'll have to use the tech 2 and program them through the body control module.
