Trying to decide if I should go Champion irons or Aluminum.
the truth of the matter is the champion iron head is a 9sec head and the aluminum is an 8 sec or faster head.like I said for a mid 10 car you would have more than enough head either way but your spending more to get there.

I have been 10.00 on stock valve iron heads with a mild port job, 210/215 full throttle cam, which has mild lobes, stock rockers, and a small old scholl te63 p trim turbo at 27psi. The car would have gone in the 9s, but am having maf issues. It will go 9s next year. No fancy parts, no billet wheel turbo, this is even on stock style 9441 head gaskets.
No matter what you do, make sure you run enough valve spring, too many on here arent running enough.

Thank You all for the information you have provided. I will most likely get a small cam, no bigger than 212 and have the heads come assembled to match which ever cam I end up with. Leaning toward the aluminum heads at the moment, just not sure which ones until I talk with my builder again.
