Posted this in turbo room, but figured would get more looks and responses here. Wanted to get some feedback on this combo. All supporting mods are present. This is a 80% street car and 20% track car. Opinions? Thx
 
What heads and cam?

How much HP you looking to make?

Will work fine on the street with a good chip.

Racing and WOT could limit the boost level.

Need to know the goals you have in mind.

I use Siemen's 55's with my GT70 up to 24 psi. on pump gas, stock heads etc. Not lean yet. :)
 
James Banning on this site has run high 10s with that turbo,72 lb injectors,and MER. He also said hes got 20 something miles per gallon. If it were me id bite the bullet and get my computer modded and throw in some 72s and use a ME or MER. HTH
 
Will have port and polished iron heads and 212/212 roller. Wanting to hit some 10.7's 10.8's at the track and back it off some on the street. 9x11 with 3200 stall also.
 
I am doing these exact mods probably over the summer.
I am putting the PT67 in the .63 house for a better spool and getting a 3.5 Houston dp. Your stall is fine if its in the .63, the .85 might need more stall.

Your going to hit those times pretty easily with ported heads and a roller. Banning ran a 10.9 with something like 19psi of boost with the PT67.

Question is, if you want a lower e.t.
How far will the 57's go?
When will you need the double pumper with those injectors? These will probably be answered by end of spring by other board members.

You make some good points. At what et and mph will the 57#'s be maxed out? I will be running a double pumper with the injectors. The .63 housing will be the one I get if I decide to go this route. I am just not crazy about modding the ECM, also seeing that the car will see limited track time, hopefully some 10.8's then back to the street detuning a little. Wouldn't you say the 57#'s would be more streetable than bigger injectors and modded ecm? Will the 57#'s accomplish these goals relatively easy?
 
IMO if your going to be running double pumpers,youd be an idiot if you didnt run at least 72lb inj with that turbo,maybe 83s.Streetability has nothing to do with injector size,its all in the chip(s). Look at the bad rap 009s got until Steve Y and Turbotweak figured em out.No offence to other chip makers but those 2 are the BEST.Maxing out injectors really doesnt have to do with et/mph but more like car weight/hp/injector duty cycle etc.

Looks like your building the money pit anyway so why not get at least a 70 series turbo(limit enginering of course),put in some 83s with a MER and call it a day.

Whats the big deal about modding a ecm??? Been done thousands of times and its only $125. My ecm has been modded for 2 things low z drivers AND map input mod to run MER. Ive also just bought a spare ecm with both mods done to it in case....

BTW im running a LT72 .63 p trim,83s,MER, double pumpers,champion heads and intake, big roller cam,etc,etc,etc and a 3200-3400 stall with a transbrake
