Instructions state to prep threads of supplied long aluminum bolt with TFE thread paste due to the bolt protruding into the water port in the front cover.

What is TFE thread paste and where do I get it?

It just Teflon thread sealer. The bolt runs into a water passage. It just needs sealed. Easy as pie to put in, just BIG and AWKWARD.

I'll give you a little heads up. The cheap metal screws for the shroud are a waste of time. If you can, tap them with 10-32 threads. You dont even need to drill them out first. You can tap the existing hole. Put some 10-32 X 1/4 long buttonhead cap screws. You will be happier.

O ya those screws were a total disaster lol. i'm lucky as I have bins full of different screws at work and found ones that worked better and actually went into the holes more than half way lol

The 10-32 screws work great- I found a flat bottom tap at my hardware store, and I also use blue Loc-tite to keep them from coming loose. I was lucky enough to find stainless steel allen head screws. Great fix for an annoying problem...

Thanks for the advice and heads up. The teflon thread seal I assume is available at the auto parts store?

You can find it at just about any auto parts store.... When using it put a dab on your finger and put a solid thin layer into your threads.
