Just got my Gn back from Progressive Auto here in Detroit (Roseville) MI. Car has been tuned and I run 25lbs on Alky with no knock
) The major component I was excited to see the results was my 3000 stall 9-11 converter I got from Bruce! Well before I was running a stock d-5 converter (At least i think, pretty sure though) with a TE-60. Everyone one was telling me its gonna be acopletely different car and etc, I was getting excited. Spool Up was kinda sluggish with the D-5. Im not sure what differences I suppose to see though. Spool up is better however with the 9-11. i wouldnt say its a different car though? Ive heard stories of guys gettings their new converters and now they smoke the tires when they step into it. Should I be ripping the tires up too. Im on Nitto drag radials and it get a lil squirrley from a dead stop at times , but it doesnt roastem up or anything like that (It did that with the d-5 sometimes too though). I dont noitce any difference in daily driving or street or higway driving, so i guess thats good right. I havnt been to the strip , but my best with a 1.90 2 something sixty foot was 12.4 @ 114-115 mph. Im going to the strip this weekend so we'll see if my car 60fts and overall see if my time improves. If I want that tire ripping, scary to drive GN, should I have stalled it higher? I wannna roast my Nittos too! I have one free restall so any suggestions would be appreciated. Bruce if your out there let me know what i should expect from the converter. One of the reasons i went with this converter is from what people were saying on here and his Customer Service. Im poor but I do like quality products and plan on having my GN a long time and I dont mind paying a premium for good customers service. Im going to call PTS but thought I would get some opinions from you guys. But like i said overall the benefits ive seen so far is quicker spool. Do I need to goto the track to experience the full potential and benefits or should i have it restalled? Sorry for being so winded but Im just trying to get some input.
Thanks
