pulled code 34 & code 12. New MAF?

I pulled codes 34 and 12 this afternoon

code 34 is something to do with the MAF. I'm stumped on what 12 is?

how can i test to see if it really is my maf that is done?

I start the car, check engine light comes on. idles very odly. revs high, dies down, revs right back up and will eventually die completely.

If i put it in gear it'll die right away as well.

Pulled the maf nothing seems wrong with it? but what do i know. im getting at least 6 volts of power to the maf so its not my wiring.

I'm in need of some help again here guys!
Whats code 12? and what can i do with this maf?

Code 12 tells you the ecm diagnostic is working properly. Code 34= Open MAF circuit or a bad reading. Replace the MAF with a known good one.

Give the maf a rap with a screwdriver while it is idling. If it is bad the engine will stumble when you give it a whack.

replaced maf with a brand new one

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS GONE!

car runs but not well.

HELLLA rich. to the point where it burns your eyes. took it for a spin and its stumbling and not boosting probably.

what else is going on with this thinggg

Prolly got a crappy reman. There are no brand new maf's.

How was car running before maf change ? Think about Trans or tran+.

I have a couple of brand new original maf's in the original a/c delco boxes.
