I am currently restoring an 84 Ttype. After I removed all the belts and accessories, I noticed that on the main pulley (the one below the water pump), there is one bolt that was broken off. I removed the pulley and in trying to extract the bolt from the plate (not sure what it is called) with an easy out, after drilling, the easy out broke and now there no way to get the bolt out from the front. I am wanting to take that plate off so I can go from the back. There is just one big bolt in the center. I would appreciate any and all advice, I don't want to screw anything up this late in the game.

Sounds like the harmonic balancer is what you are describing. You will need an impact wrench to loosen that bolt (torqued to around 125 ft/lbs). Also invest in a puller to remove it from the crank safely.

Yeah it sounds like the balancer. Get your self a 1/2" drive 1-1/8" 6-point socket(somebody please correct me if this is the wrong size socket) and a breaker bar and put a vice grip on the flywheel end and you should be able to remove the bolt. The actuall torque is around 200 lb/ft and you will need all the leverage you can get. Balancers are slip fit so you dont need a puller. You may have to tug on it but it will slide right off if everything is right. You might want to check into getting a used balancer as you can usually find these cheap from people posting in the used parts forum and they also fit the 86-87 IC cars too.
