There is a hook on drivers side that is cast into the block.

You can use the holes in the rear of the head or get a bolt to fit like the intake bolts that is a tad longer for good thread engagement. You may not get to many replies here becaus nobody likes to be considered a "hack" or "doing it wrong" by others, I'd use the intake bolt route.

use the one pictured. it takes a good amount of threads.

Anyone know where you can get the engine hooks that came with the the cars when new. The ones that were on the intake.....

'87 Turbo T w/E85, 224/224, ported iron heads and intake, 80 lbs injector, TE45A, GEN II, TT and EXTENDER EXTREME G, XP Double pumper and something secret, 86 T-TYPE (Kenne Bell test car) and '11 Tundra Limited Sent from my iPhone using Turbobuick

Another way of doing it is to use the exhaust manifold bolts and add some nuts with a piece of chain and it works great. I even used this method with tranny attached.
