Pump Seal Retainer?

What's the feeling on these? If you do all the pump mods and drain backs do you need the seal Retainer? It looks like if it ever came loose it could cause more problems than anything. Thanks for the input.

I put it on. I did the draimback mods, but for a couple bux I didn't want to pull it back again. Your money, your call.

I don't use them, tranny shop I cut my teeth at did not either. Use a small amount of green Loctite on the seal before you press it in.
