putting 84 turbo motor into an 87

Picking up a 84 turbo motor complete and was thinking as using as a spare for my 87T, what is the consenus of where to put the turbo drain return, block, pan, fuel pump block off plate or where ever, I have a lot of 86-87 spare parts so what else is needed, thought this would be the best place to ask, all info appreciated.

if done right you can tap the fron of the block just like the 87's. if not you could get a custom drain line and get a bung welded into the oil pan and do it that way. if it where me i would tap the block.

I will look, but if memory serves me right, there just does not seem too be a lot of meat there to be drilling and tapping on that cast iron, cause there is no boss on those blocks!!.

ya i cant remember that well either. you could just go into the pan. that might be the way to go
