Putting A Turbo 6 in a 91 Mustang,,is it hard to do

Please dont hate me ,,,,But I like Mustangs and I LOVE Turbo Buick,,just want the ultimate sleeper(since we all no they are slow=ultimate sleeper)

Or should I spend the 3000-4500 for a Turbo kit ,that includes the turbo and intercoller

This is Dennis Butt's '88 Stang with a Turbo 6 (stock block)..... It has run low 10's and from the looks of it Dennis did a real clean swap so I don't think it would be that hard!

This is another Mustang with a Turbo 6 (stock block) and this one has run high 9's and from what I've heard it was on ebay recently for 10K, but the auction ended with it only bringing 3500-4K.....

If you're really interested in doing this swap you should go over to the Hybrid section on the other board www.turbobuicks.com to get some info or email either of these guys and pick their brains on the swap

If you're going to just buy a Turbo kit for a 5.0 Mustang you should check out www.turbomustangs.com

I would get ahold of Dennis Butt from Pro Trac Racing in Joliet Il, You can find it on GNTTYPE.ORG and his screen name on this board and Chitown Racing.com is Flyingv6Mustang. I think he will be able to answer your questions. He has a stout GN powered pony his self.

Is that where my old motors going Dennis? Talk to Dennis Butt, actually his screen name here is protracracing, about his mustang. I thought about doing this too, but the 'stangs weigh as much as the TR's, so it just didn't seem worth the work. But the cool factor is there.

I think your wrong on the weight issue, My 93 cobra to which is the heaviest of the older body mustangs weighed 3325 with me in it at the Mobile One Ford challenge.

With nothing more than welds and the spare out. and me beeing about 200 lbs. I have seen notch backs as low as 2250 in weight.
