putting lower end together got #s confused on pistons

i took pics and wrote numbers on the pistons but got cleaned off,pics got lost on previous phone.can someone confirm that the caps on the #1 piston are on correctly?heres a pic.im sure the opposing pistons are correct.should the notch on the cap be outside or inside?

Pop the cap off and look at the bearing tangs. They both go on on the same side.

If you mean rod orentiation, it's correct. The 45* bevel points towards the nearest main cap. Another way to remember is that the flats face each other.
(if you look at the profile of the rod, you'll notice the big end if offset a little. It's moved over to clear the divider on the split pins on the rod throws).
