Lets get the stock location intercooler conversation out of the way -- IN MY CAR--- For the stock stretch location intercooler to fit i would HAVE TO remove the sway bar. Plus the front of the car looks terrible with it sticking out the bottom.

I have been looking at different sizes and shapes of front mounts and it looks i can chose just about any pipe diameter. Id like to know which size works and is most efficient?

The car had an OE Dutt neck IC but i took that out and put it in another car.
I want to push this car into the low 11ns as easy as possible and not have the car look like shit while doing it.
thanks for your help.
David

BTW i'll post up pictures of the OE stretch in the car for you to see. can you say YUK

Our cars would say "yuck" too but the factory added the air dams to the bottom of the bumper. You might just need something like that. If your not liking the scoop, then you really are not going to like 3 inch pipes and the bottom of the front mount hanging down. The scoop is 3 feet under the car. The front mount pipes are directly behind the front bumper, and will not be hidden at all without an air dam of some kind.

The only way to see it is to see it LOL
i'll post some pictures in a few minutes. And remember the front sway bar HAS TO come out. i drive this car a lot and i don't want to sacrifice handling not even a little bit.

the pictures didn't come out good the sun glare is not letting it happen, ill take some latter on in the day and post them up.

Or you can run your pipes in the engine compartment like I did with mine. Didn't want mine under the car, so I built all my own pipes. Hope this helps.

i have considered that a lot, getting a narrow radiator and going to the left and right just like you did. That will also reduce the amount of plumbing needed.
What size pipes did you use?

If you run the HR Swaybar in the rear...you can remove your front swaybar and not really notice it. I was really surprised at how little difference in drivability there was.

i have been told the same thing by a few guys.
BUT when your are keeping up with 2010 Camaro and a BUILT 02 WS6 you need every bit of handling you can get especially if you in a 4000 pound Chevelle.

If i go with the traditional pipes under the radiator support, i can always paint them flat black so that they can blend in a little bit.
i have always liked the top pipes (around the radiator) another guy has a similar set up in a 80s Camaro with the LC2 in it.

buy some ebay cheapy that fits in the spot your not afraid to chop up and mod to fit it up real nice.... then have it copyed into a real nice one....

????

here is the way it looks right now
with the stretch SLIC and NO front sway bar- i do have a rear end to frame sway bar i just haven't driven the car much yet to see how it feels on the turnsIMAG0693.jpgIMAG0693.jpgIMAG0692.jpgIMAG0691.jpgIMAG0690.jpg

I agree with this. Buy one that will fit where you want it and plumb it as needed.

Thats a good idea and i will most likely run with BUT i still need to make a selection on the PIPE DIAMETER.
So Back to what size pipes should i use?

2.5 or 3 will handle a ton of horsepower. It's whatever you have room to work with. If your throttlebody takes a 2.5...stay with that.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, my pipes are 2.5 and have to move the battery to the trunk. The radiator is the biggest I could fit in the car without the pipes and made pipes go around radiator. Went in right behind headlights. Took about a day to make and cut all the pipes.

Mine worked with the stock radiator as well as the F body one I have in there now. Also worked fine with the condenser in the car.
