Qtrim exhaust housings (how to get off)!!

Well i am on my 3rd q trim turbo and everyone i could not get the exhaust housing off, how do you get them off?
Obviously all the bolts are off.

I tried tapping it to no avail.
A few years back John Craig said they have had a problem with a seal and you have to soak it for a while.........but that does not work for me anyways.

Maybe a plasma cutter might get it off.:biggrin:
 
You might wanna spray it down with PB Blaster and let it sit then try the hammer again.
 
Well as usual the exhaust housings on q trims do not come off.
I do not want to risk damaging the exhaust wheel by hitting the exhaust housing with a 2 handed hammer blow.
Looks like i will have to sell the turbo and buy a new 4 bolt as i have no use for a 3 bolt turbo right now.:mad:

Ship the bastard back and have the manufacturer remove it. Let them f uck it up. Try a gallon of WD 40 and let it soak in it for a couple days. Spraying it on is not enough. Then try the Ford wrench.

Most likely if it goes back i will use it towards an upgrade.
The housing rotates no problem but just does not want to come off, i am sure they have some kind of puller to take them off.
