Quarter panel skin and inner panel

This is for in front of the rear wheel quarter area.

Do these cars from the factory come with a seam sealer for the quarter skin to inner quarter panel? I'm doing some rust repair and I think its the factory seam sealer that has turned rust colored due to rust in that area.

Just want peoples opinions before I have to cut the quarter further to look for hidden rust.

Cut mine off today. No seam sealer from the factory in this area. Just must be rust. One side down driverside left to do on mine.

That's weird, it seems like there's something on mine and like I said when I pulled it out it wasn't that hard.

Well she won't be seeing salt ever again so if there's a little i hope it doesn't come through and give me problems in my life time!
