I'm getting ready to drop the motor back in this Saturday, and still have my hot-air lines in the car.

From all the posts on doing a conversion, I've never been able to see the difference in the lines. What do the hot-air ones get in the way of with the conversion? The engine is not back at my house until later this week; it has been at my friend's (who has more and better tools than I), so I could assemble it.

I'm only curious because I'm very hesitant to spend about $180 for two lines. Has anyone bent their own? I'm a newbie at this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated! He has a nice bending & flaring kit I can use, so it might be worth a shot.

on mine I just found someone on the Parts for sale page and bought the engine fuel lines used on there. they bolted right up to the factory lines running from my gas tank to the frame rail they come out of. the only problem I can see with bending your own lines is the side that is factory in your frame has rubber o rings at the connection. not a flared fitting (at least mine did) so your going to have to get some special ends for the tubing if your going to make your own.
