question about gasket between Coil and Module

I just ordered a coil and understand that it comes with a gasket for between the coil and module. I also understand that one side of the gasket has adhesive and is placed on the module side.
My question is, since I am only changing the coil, is it necessary to replace the gasket the on the module, or would it be best to change it ?

Second question, is it necessary to either disconnect the battery while changing and is it necessary to reset the ECM ?

You will probabrly find that your original gasket will come apart (break) when you take the coil pack apart so yes I suggest you replace and use the new one.

Also I would defentitly disconnect the battery while doing this. For resetting the ECM this will happen when you disconnect the battery anyway.
