my track only sells 110 leaded sunoco racing gas and next month i am gonna be running a te-44 turbo with 50 lb injectors at around 25 psi and with a 110 race chip from PTE with i think 30 degrees of timing

i don't honestly think 110 is safe to run anymore...but where the hell can i buy say C-16? i need to be safe and i want very high octane...

might check with any local speed shops, if you have any. We have Winner's Circle here that sells a 5 gallon jug of it for like $60.

Any local small airports? There is one by my house, on the way to the track for many people. I see a TON of trailers pulling in and out on racedays. Just make sure you get the right kind.

Oh yea, stock up on some O2 sensors. :D

well i have a heated o2 sensor kit so i am not worried about that...i will have to check to see if i can find a speed shop somewhere around here...i do have a local airport but don't know if i am allowed on the premises because i believe it's a private airport...hmmmmmmm i would LOVE to get my hands on some c-16 or something higher than 110 leaded

heated 02's wont last any longer than not heated when running leaded fuel

c-16 will take it out with the quickness it is very leaded but is some bad azz fuel

???

i thought heated o2 sensors were resistant to leaded race fuel for a long time? so what was the point of me even getting a heated o2 sensor?

The answer is: you will see a delayed loss of response vs a unheated sensor. The heated will fail just as quick, but you may not see it as soon..
BTDT.. Save your bucks and buy some C-16!!;)
A race chip w/ 30* ???? HOT!!

but where can i buy it from?!?! there are no sunoco dealers here in the entire state of indiana and no speed shops in sight...sigh might as well stop racing now :( all i need is like 15 gallons of c-16 and i am set for the rest of the year

talk to the Sunoco guy at the track.......Sunoco also makes 112 octane (blue) and 116 octane (Maximol)....he can certainly get you some of either......the 116 runs about $8.00 per gallon here and the 112 $5.50....there really isn't a lot of diff in the motor octane between the two...I can safely run the 112 up to 25 lbs boost no problem......you should be ok at even higher boost (I am making right at 600 hp at 22-23 lbs)
