ok here is my situation. i bought my 85 buick ( 90,000 miles cat back exhaust and a k&n are the only mods) it had bad oil in it i was under the imprssion that it was recently changed(had been parked for 2 yrs) spun a rod bearing, the crank and one rod were trash. its all rebuilt now has a turbo TA crank and trw forged pistons stock crank and reg rebuild on everythin else... as far as parts ive bought since i bought it... turbo pre luber, giant oil cooler with elec fan(one for trans and one for engine) pte oil filter relocater with the turbo feed line.., 3" Dp from lee thompson, deltagate, cold air intake from turbo regal custom parts. i was tryin to rebuild it with out spending a ton on performance at the moment im workin on payin off bills to zero so havent gotten into the turbo and fuel system yet... picked the motor up friday and was talkin to one of my friends that works with a guy that does head work(he does alot of ls1's around here really good)and he can do my heads for free i just buy the new hardware(biger valves and what not...) and he will get it all done and put it on the flow bench and give me the numbers and all that good stuff... im still tryin my best to stick to the plan of not fixin it up to much at the moment. so if i was to pull my heads off and get them fixed up would i need to upgrade my fuel system(im probably going to get a hot wire and a adj fpr for now regardless) like the pump and injectors to run ported and polished heads or will my stock set up be sufficient? i wanted to change the ecm and ignition and get a scanmaster before jumping into the fuel system and im not ready to spend that cash right now. my friend can do them anytime so should i leave it alone for now and wait till i can take care of the fuel system? or will it be ok mostly stock with bad as heads?
what u think i should do?
thanks a ton
