Hey Everyone-
A friend asked me a 2004r question today, and I am in no way a transmission guy, so I'm forwarding it to you: He wants to know what the modulator on the driver side rear of the tranny does. I'm not sure what car this tranny came out of, can anybody give us some help? Thanks!

Matt

There is no "modulator" on the side of a 200-4R. Are you sure it's a 200-4R?

From him:
"I am very sure, its an 1988 200r4 from chevrolet, I am not sure if it is a modulator or vacuum pod, the location of this item is drivers side above the floor shift linkage. should I pole the audience?"

Thanks guys!

Are you sure it isn't a 700-4R? There's a cover for the governor on the drivers side near the tail shaft.
