I see that most of your alky chips are set up for 98 octane, if I added 5 gals of E-85 to a tankfull of 93 octane -that should raise my fuel to 98 octane-would it be ok to run the engine with your alky chip in it this way without using alcohol?

Hello,

None of my alky chips are set up for 98 octane. They are typically set up for pump gas (91-94 octane).

The only chip I make for E85 is for 100% E85, no mixes. I do not recommend running any mixture of E85 and gas.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Eric

Understand the fueling in a chip set for alky at 23-25 PSI is the same fueling for a chip set non-alky 15-16 PSI. Timing on alky chips is higher since it provides higher octane.

E-85 requires more injector pulse width. As it requires more E-85 than it does gasoline to make the same amount of power. Same can be said about race gas. An alky chip set for 25 PSI boost on pump and alky will lean out hard if you run 25 PSI and race gas no alky.

Decide on what fuel, decide on boost.. get the chip made.. dont make changes :D
