I have GN1's and there was a different plug in the heads when i pulled them out and they had compression rings on them. They were autolite plugs, but not 103's or 104's some other Autolite plug, im assuming the ones you dont use on the GN1's. When i pulled the plugs some had what appeared to be oil on them and also a compression ring/washer. The car wasnt running well so i figured try the plugs and go from there, i think it is the problem, but my real question is, do I reuse the compression rings or dont use them with the 103's. The 103's did not include a washer/compression ring. Also was the oil i saw on the plugs because the improper plugs were used in the first place?

Thanks

The old plugs sound like the racing style Autolite plug we use on the GN1s. They have a sealing washer. If thats the case they are very-very cold plugs and could fould easily. They are not for a car that gets driven much, but a great for a race car.

Hmmm ok, well i have the 103's and will be installing them without the sealing washer. Gapped at about .34 I simply think the old ones were fouled out.

Reguarding the autolite ...
I noticed a significant differance between the autolite 103 & 104
compared to the NGK 108 0r 109 both these plugs work awesome in the
GN1.

Street driven a few times a month in my case. But even at that a very consident
plug . NGK

IMO.
