I would like to know if anybody knows if these work. I'm blowing some oil into my vacuum block through my current PCV setup. I did a search and couldn't really come up with what solutions you guys are currently using. Thanks in advance

the kirban one works to prevent boost getting past the pcv ,
effective at preventing boost from bleeding away past the pcv valve and possibly pressurizing, also helps to prevent alcohol from getting into the oil as well on alky injected cars
i run a black vacuum brake booster check valve between my pcv ,

i don't see how installing a pcv check will help you

what you describe sounds like blow by or if crankcase pressure is normal a faulty pcv allowing excessive oil to come up the pcv hose during high vac conditions like on decell
what you need for that is either to get a new pcv , restrict the pcv , eliminate it or run a pcv catch can or vac pump

its also possible to have oil at the vac block coming in with the intake air from the bad turbo compressor seal or if running the stock passenger side to turbo inlet bell breather setup

I was told to use the brass check valve to keep boost out of the block so the seals don't come out.

+1... the check valve prevents boost(/alky) from going FROM the TB to the manifold and pressurinzing it, and does nothing to prevent flow in the other direction.... ie... oil/fumes from the manifold to the TB.... fwiw, the stock pcv is a check (1 way) valve in itself, which should negate the need to run a brass style cv anyway.... some run another in line as an extra measure.... with varying accounts of usefulness.... Pacecarta is also correct in that your oil in the vac block may be coming from the turbo or factory breather tube...

I have that same pcv check valve on my GN, I put it on for extra protection from pressurizing the crankcase, as was advertised when it first came out. I also put an aftermarket pcv valve in there and found that to be faulty, so I put a GM pcv valve back in the car and that solved my problem. Alot of the aftermarket pcv valve will leak. As far as putting the check valve on, just take the stock pcv hose off the pcv valve and install the new 3/8 hose on the top of the pcv valve, I then used a brass elbow and connected the other end of hose to it, then connect it to the hard vacuum line which runs to your vacuum block.

Robby , I had one like that in the pic. It came from ATR way back in the day. I had a problem with it letting too much unmetered air into the motor causing the BLMs to go crazy. Removed it and the BLMs were fine. I am wondering if Conrads used a felpro 1200 intake gasket or a valley pan?? If he used the 1200 you could have oil mist getting sucked into the intake. I use the 1200 with my GN1s but I bought a lifter valley baffle from Page Title after fighting the same problem you are having. I am not even running the PCV now. Its there just no vacuum going to it. The breathers take care of any pressure in the crankcase and I am not adding any when under boost. Call me if you have any other questions.:D I'll be at work this weekend but call anyway. Jeremy
