My buddy just gave me 30 gallons of Sunoco 104 UL and it has been in his garage for 3 years with the cap on tight.

Would you guys blend this with 91 to achieve higher octane or just not use it.

I know, I know, Alky is coming but he is giving this stuff to me for free.

I would just use it as regular gas, being that old I look at it like you just save $60 for regular gas...

Read somewhere that it looses octane in a plastic container. If it was stored in a metal container it shoulod be alright. Turn the boost up and tune to the octane it seems to be putting out.

The fuel should be fine as long as it was sealed.

Also do not mix race gas with a lower octane, you will lower the octane of the race fuel.

Be a man....run it straight.

We started a thread a long time ago on this. If my memory is correct(been a while) VP sells plastic jugs for thier fuel and claims it is OK to store in plastic jugs. I can tell you I have used fuel stored over the winter in the factory barrel and had no problems. It seems like their may be mixed information between manufacture's on storing the products.

My guess would the operative word here is "airtight". If the container is well sealed I would think there wouldn't be a problem with plastic. I think I have looked at some supplier sites and they send fuel in 5 gal plastic buckets.
