Race Fuel. What do you like?

Just finished up my 55 gal drum of 118 Rocket fuel. I like the Rocket fuel because it is rated at 116 at the motor.

The GN loved it, but the one thing I didn't like...and this may seem silly is that it didn't smell much like race fuel.

I want that when I drive by and you are 50 yards away you can smell it!

I have access to aviation fuel, but its only 100 octane so I've been looking at the Racing Base, Sunoco and VP fuels. I think anything above 112 will be fine.

What do you like?

I like turbo blue extreme 116,with blueberry additive,smells amazing and i ran 32# boost no knock

Vp c16 is about as good as it gets!

VP racing fuel, you can smell it 50 yards away. And, it smells like........Victory!

I believe aviation gas has some things in it that you do not want in your motor.

Some Sunoco stations in my area(Ohio) have CAM TWO 110 octane race fuel . Smells like the drag strip, love it
But......................$8-9 per gallon.. I remember 15 years ago in high school I used to mix it in my bike and 5.0 just to smell it ,was like $3.50 gallon.that would be nice!

i think you mean $9.50 a gallon
for what they charge for C16 at tracks around here $9.50 would be great
try $18.00 a gallon (90 bucks for a 5 gallon can VP c16)
i dont touch the stuff
dont miss replacing O2 or wideband sensors , and frequent spark plug changes

93 octane quick check gas and alky gets its done
methanol is at $5.00 gallon and I get about 8 passes on a gallon (1.5 oz per second at boost)
and to jump on e85 corn mush isnt happening here NJ is pretty much a dry state ,
they have some e85 spots but too far and few to consider switching (there's two pumps in the state)

but have to admit growing up around racetracks i like the smell of C16 , probably caused brain damage but its all good .

Yeah, I read long ago that Avgas had a lot of impurities in it and works better at higher altitudes. It smells good tho.

This is where I get my race fuel in N. Fl. They deliver too.
