racegate location question

Is there any difference in putting the race gate on the turbo rather than on the header pipe. It doenst seem to matter were you locate it-turbo to down pipe, header to DP,or X over to DP. Is there one thats better than the others to control boost? I know the cross over method is loud.

I would think that it should not matter. Putting it on the turbo would be a little easier for plumbing though.
