I've got 275/60/15 mt et street radial on the back of my car and would like to switch to a skinny front tire. The only skinny radials I've been able to find are a little short for me, 26" or under. I'm looking for more like a 27" inch tire or so, which seem to be much more available in a bias construction. The car is strictly a toy taken out for an occasional drive, I put maybe 1000 miles a year on it. Despite the warnings of mixing radial and bias ply's on the same car, has anyone run skinny bias plies up front with a radial in the back?

Back in the old days, they said when mixing radials & bias plies to put the radials on the rear, so you're OK if you have to mix. I do know one 10.5 second Buick where he had bias ply slicks and radials up front for years. He now has bias frontrunners.
