First my car: 58k miles, Alky Kit, 20lbs boost, power plate, dats it.... heck, I still have the stock intake. I did run an open dump during the run. 93 octane and alky spraying at 12lbs speed 10 O2 on the scanmaster: 762 NO KNOCK!

At this dyno the let the owner thrash their own car so I was going to be careful since this was my first time. I only revved the car to 4700rpm but still got respectible numbers.

Top numbers: 280HP and 420 lb trq !

Car ran better on the dyno than on the street despite temperatures of 100+ inside the building that housed the dyno. On a cold day that would look a lot better.

762 spraying alky is too lean in my lame opinion. I'd rather see 780ish on fuel only and add the alky to that. The few cars I've set up this way blew 810-820's w/no knock either. Had you had more fuel, and used the alky as a detonation supressant and not a fuel (you need like double the alky then you need fuel if you're gonna do that, and I dont think denatured is a good fuel anyway...but I'm no chemist) I think you might have done more.

Otherwise, cool deal!

Awesome man, congrats on the good numbers! I know you and I have a pretty similar setup, so it's cool to see your dyno numbers jiving with my DS numbers. I run a little less pump speed (6-7) and it sprays on a little later 13.5 psi. But yeah, no knock and O2s in the high 700 range (by the top of 3rd gear). Lemme know how you do if you take her to the track, and I'll definitely do the same!

BTW 420 ft-lbs at the rear wheels? Isn't that knocking on the door of the magical FIVE HUNDRED ft-lbs at the crank!? Congrats again.

Adjusting for drivetrain losses, the heat, and the fact the dyno couldn't give me any numbers lower than 3500 rpm I'd say I'm pretty close to 500 at the crank. :)

Is there a dyno in the Pensacola area, or did you have to go down south FL.

Didn't they used corrected numbers?

No, that's what really sucked. Everybody was mad because their numbers were lower than what they dynoed last time. In fact there was a new Berger ZL1 Supercar Camaro there with the Series III upgrade. It dynoed with 80 miles at over 505HP and 550 ft lbs and yesterday it barely put over 450 hp and 460 ft lbs.

We were just discussing it here... http://pub8.ezboard.com/friptidesgaragenorthwestfloridafbodies.showMessage?topicID=3172.topic

I didn't know what to expect so I was happy. :)

I would not go back there again.
