Hey fellas, I recently installed the "Transgo HD shift 2" shift kit into my 1987 200-4r transmission.

Never installed a shift kit before or even had a trans apart before, but I took my time and followed the instructions closely. Took 3 days.

Anyway, the trans is mounted now and today I took the drain pan off because I wanted to install a drain plug just incase I ever needed to drain the trans again.

I noticed this sitting in the bottom of the drain pan:

Anyone know where it goes? We were super careful and am pretty damn pissed off but Im glad I noticed now instead of finding out it was catastrophically bad later.

I appreciate it guys! This is a frustrating and anyone who can help right away id greatly appreciate it.

See picture for location. You do not need it if you left the TV exhaust check ball out of the case. Most kits recommend this. Where is the spring?

Just wanted to say thanks- reviewed my shift kit instructions and I did in fact take out the exhaust check ball out but it didn't mention anything about the clip and spring.

I jumps out under the car and found the spring still sitting there, they're both safely removed now.

Thanks again for the fast response you calmed my nerves a lot.
