I have my kit completely installed except for two items:

1) On the nozzle installation, which way does the rubber sided washer go on the inside of the elbow? The directions state to install it "with the ruber washer on the inside installed". But the wording kinda confuses me. Should the washer be installed with the curve of the elbow (rubber facing towards the inside of the pipe)?

2) I can't find any methanol except in drums!! I did find a VP Racing Fuel dealer that can order some but that won't be for 2 weeks!!! I've read about the denatured alcohol. I don't care what it costs, I want to get this thing on the road.

The rubber side should be mating to the surface of the up pipe.

what dreamcar said + on the inside of the pipe. if there is alot of extra slack in the threads, the install the second one on the outside of the pipe w/ rubber facing the pipe.

alot of drag strips sell methanol...otherwise a drun is your only option. and not a bad one at that...methanol is addicting :) personally, it seems i am adding a quart to my tank every 2 days or so... :) i would buy a drum if i didnt have a hook up on it already. i have friends who share a HUGE drum between 3 or 4 of them.

I'm going to head over to National Trails Raceway and see if I can run some down this afternoon.

The washers have a curve going the other direction making it very difficult to get a seal on the inside of the elbow. There's no way I can fit one on the outside. I'm using a stock up pipe.

Put one washer on and tighten it down to form fit against the pipe. Remove it. Take the other washer and tighten it down to form fit. Once they are both in the shape you need put them on. One on the outside and one on the inside.

I would use both of them. Engine bay no-likey alky leaking in it.;)

You cannot put both washers first time. You need to tighten outside fitting so inside washer gets curved to the inside of the pipe.. then back it out.. put some WD40 on the rubber portion of thw washer.. and install it with the rubber facing the pipe. Then tighten it down.. After it all looks good.. then back it out one more time.. put some Red loctite on the threads.. then tighten it down one final time. This will keep the nozzle from ever backing out.

Once the pipe gets hot, the rubber on the washers will glue to the pipe.

Remember to clean out any metal shavings from drilling into the pipe.

Cheers

Finally got ahold of some methanol and started the testing. When I push the test button and the turn-on led and the power injection bulb light up. But on the road test I'm not getting any lights at 4-5lbs like the instructions say. I checked the wiring on the green wire, everything's good and soldered. I'm running a stock analog dash with an aftermarket boost gauge. Thanks for any help.

i would take a volt meter to the green wire with the key on you should see 1.6v or so. i had a problem with the supplied green wire cracking at the solder spliced to the green dash wire and i couldnt even see it...i had 1.6v at the sensor, but not in the car...pain, but i found it, resoldered it and its good. have a check at the sensor and then in the car.

did you rewire the power for the map to the tps +/- wires on the ecm? i tested the readings before and after and it was 1.6 or so psi off, and then after the rewire its only about .5 below what it should be based on atmosphere pressure.

Take it a little higher like 8-10 PSI see if it activates.. if not.. start troubleshooting the 3 bar map.
