Razor...LED doesn't change to green?

Just got done installing the PAC kit last week. I noticed the power LED doesn't change to green like it's supposed to when it's injecting. I ordered the kit last year about the end of Sep, beginning of Oct and you mentioned to me that mine would be one of the first kits with the red/green LED feature.

I'm just wondering if maybe I got one of the last batches of the kits with the old style LED. It's really not a big deal to me. I know it's working because I can hit 24 psi with 0.0 knock. :biggrin: I did not adjust the pressure threshold on the pump yet. Is there a way to identify which kit I got? Thanks a lot!!

PS...I love the kit, I don't know why I waited nearly a year to install it.

First test would be unplug the pump at the weather pack connector. Go inside and press the black test button.. The turn-on LED should illuminate green if your in-car wiring has been done correctly. If not.. the problem is inside the vehicle wiring.

Note to self: Remember to plug pump back in after testing.

Does the light go in the power injection slot in the dash now?

Ok, tried it and no green LED. I haven't torn apart the dash to check the wiring but does the brown wire have something to do with it? I'll check it out tomorrow and report back....thanks again Razor.

Yes the brown wire is the key to your issues. Make sure where you connected it its not touching ground on the bare wire out of the pump cable.

If you clip the brown wire.. then hit the test.. it should show green.

FYI... if above is all correct and still no green led change. then check the wiring at the pump make sure all the wires are in the correct slots.

No light for me either

I tried hitting the test button and no luck for me either with the green light. I checked the brown wire under the dash and everything is kosher and my brown wire from the pump is hooked up to one of the bumper bolts for ground also.

TIGN.. Jolly460 has an older deal on his wiring.. same procedure

Unplug pump and see if it goes green. If so all is well.

When you hit the test... its a very very low pressure test. Pressure activates the "Green" condition.

If you unplugged the pump and it went green... replug the pump back in.. then put the knob on 8.. start car.. hit the test and wait a few seconds.. bet it goes green.

And bet it stalls your engine.

Bingo!! That was it! As soon as I moved that wire out of the way and hit the test button the LED turned green. The bare wire must have been grounding out on something under the dash and didn't realize it. Some more insulation around the bare wire and all is good. Amazing how some attention to detail goes a long way. :biggrin:
