ok im wiring up my hotair car with your kit. it says wire the map to the top tps wire will since my cars tps is located different which wire does it go to on the tps? far left far right middle? what about the color of wire? thanks

Now, you need to supply 5 volts to your MAP sensor gray wire. There is in the "tips" section a note to do so behind your glove box. I dont know if the 84/85 are the same. Get a voltmeter and probe your TPS wires. One will read 5 volts DC. That is the one. On the 86/87's it will also be gray in color. You will need to ground the "black" colored wire on the MAP plug as well.

After your done doing your connections, turn your ignition ON and read the voltage at the center green wire on the MAP. It should read approx 1.6 volts DC if all your connections were done properly. If it doesnt, re-read the above paragraph.

You cannot test a MAP sensor with a Test Light.. it has to be a voltmeter. Harbor Freight has them on sale for 3.00..

PS, solenoid will be mounted behind coolant tank area inside fender.The hoses should guide you.

well i got the whole kit installed just need to run a boost line to the map. i would say for what i had to do to my car it took about 10 hours to install.
