i have one of your kits and its working great but i have a question. im at 21#s with no knock so when i turn up the boost to 24#s to i have to turn the blue knob or will it be fine?
thanks

The kit will spray more when you up the boost, you should be fine. I would watch your O2's and may need a little more fuel tho.

So go to 22..then 23.. then 24.. then :D and watch O2's, knock.. make the adjustmensts as required.

I look for 760-780's top of third gear as a baseline. And work from there getting them down. If it runs 24 PSI at 760's.. you can try lowering the fuel amount to drop the O2's further. This can be done via the chip, fuel pressure regulator, or translator if you run an extender. At the same time adding timing will also make the car faster.

Watch for knock. If you get some that is steady.. add alcohol to get rid of it. Dont pay attention to false knock like that which is encountered when the transmission shifts for example.

Everyone has their limits as too how much boost you want to run, how much timing, how lean, etc... Set your goals and work to get it there.

i was also wondering how do i adjust the timing on the car? and also at what rate should i do it at and what numbers to look for? i am using a turbo tweak chip if that help
thanks

Chip controls timing. If you have his version 5.3 you can adjust 1st/2nd gear WOT timing, and 3rd/4th gear WOT timing. You'll need a chip with a fast update patch to see the timing on your scanmaster or if you have direct scan you can also see the timing. If your chip is an older one, contact Eric for an update ;)

If you want instructions how to adjust the chip, email me and i'll forward you the document.

Julio, where are your o2:s in the 1/8 ? Here in Sweden we dont often run 1/4 due to the limited amount of "real" tracks, so I use to tune for 1/8 more than 1/4.

Unfortunately did I not write down what I had last time I runned, but I think it was around 780-800.

Daniel

Safe is 780. Faster(leaner) is 740.

Somewhere in between you'll be fine.
