I'm considering ordering Razor’s alky kit to kick the race gas habit on the street. I have some concerns with the ease of installation, being able to keep the OEM look under the hood and how much wire splicing it well require (the biggie).
1.)Would like get some feedback on hooking it up, is it a plug and play system or will I have to cut and splice. If so a little detail would be great.
2.)Opinions on time and ease of installation. Yes I would be anal trying to keep everything neat and out of sight best I could.
3.)Please post pictures of cleanest installs with stealth look.

I don't remember exact details but you will have to splice into one or two wires at least. No big deal. You're not gunna be butchering your entire harness or anything like that.

Obviously there's no real way to "hide" the braided steel alky line running to your up-pipe but other than that nobody will see anything. The kit comes with enough black wire loom to hide all the wiring under the hood. The alky pump is hidden behind the front bumper support. Inside the car you can tuck all the wiring away and hide the controller wherever you want.

Time and ease of installation depends on your experience. Most people with enough motivation and energy can easily finish in one day, or one weekend if you want to take it slow.

I laid everything out on the livingroom floor Read the instructions about 15 times Im kind of slow cause of my age Looked everything over real good & I started to install Just some soldering Simple If I can do it anyone can Im sure that u can find some pictures posted here somewheres. Shouldnt take more than a couple of hours

Good point, I did the same thing, spent the first few days just looking at the kit and reading the instructions. Practically knew every step by the time I went out to the garage.

as long as you have a nice set of tools and a good spot to work on it....shouldnt take more than a couple of hours to complete....i had mine in after work in one night and went testing that evening ;) .....best mod for the TR hands down!!!

I was a complete dumba$$ when I did my install and it only took me about 1/2a day to complete... You can also ask Julio for a longer feed line and cover it with Convoluted Tubing or something similar and run it down low and back up underneath the up-pipe to hide it better... Take your time and read the directions, and when all else fails, call Julio!! He was a tremendous amount of help :)

Sounds like a great idea if you're trying to hide it from public view! I wasn't too concerned about anyone seeing it so I went into the passenger side of the up-pipe, but running it directly under the up-pipe with some plastic loom over it would be a neat hiding spot.

I've installed this kit on like 150 TR's.. I can practically do it in my sleep.. when you start.. call me and i'll walk you through it. Be my pleasure.

Unless someones a Buick TR guy most wont even notice it.
I have a co worker that was into the import and Neon SRT scene he noticed the coolant bottles fitting and hose. He thought it was for a liquid cooled intercooler; but I said "Look at the intercooler there are no lines coming in and out." he was sucpicious but baffled still.
I eventually told him....:D

Take your time with the install and it will be virtually unoticable.
Maybe Julio can make a stealth control knob that says "Turbo timer";)

Razor's system is very easy to install. His instructions are very detailed and if you follow them the system will come together very easily. My suggestion is that you follow them closely and take your time and don't take short cuts. In my opinion this is the best mod to be introduced since the introduction of the turbo Regal and Razor's system is the absolute best alky system on the market. Gary Caramanis
