Just recently took the spark plugs out of my car. Im not quite sure how to read the plugs. Is there a website that shows what a good burnign plug should look like and being that im running alchy and alot of boost will my plugs look different than normal plugs running 93 or race gas. I think my plugs are fine but im not sure.

Alchy gurus, chime in anytime.

Well if your trying to read plugs after you've been driving around town with them.. fugedaboutit. Letting the car idle changes them.

On a race car, after a pass..thats when theyre read.

On a street car alky or not, they should be a tan color. Typically a little darker due to being a little rich. Add a lot of lube to your alcohol..then you will have to burn that.

So darker than a tan, be uniform, have no buildup.

Dont blame the alky for bad plugs.. unless you drive around without using it..get proper plug readings.. then use it. get inproper plug readings. Then it may be a chip issue whereby it may be commanding way too much fuel.
