I started my swap a month ago, I used factory V8 clam shell mount $8 each and one inch setback plates $69 from carshop.

Do not buy the setback plates from ebay they DO NOT WORK. Bolt holes are drilled to high on plate will not line up with stock V8 mount.

I also used the Hummer pan $210.00

I would run the Holley pan.. all others hang lower than crossmember. FYI, mounts using stock style clam shells will not allow for lower ac. I learned that the hard way. Use BRP or the Spohn mounts.

Thanks guys! My goal is not to have a pan that sits low cause my car is lowered. And also I would like to keep my AC. It gets hot down in the south. Heres a link to my projects I'm working on, one is a 87' Turbo T and the other a 87' Monte SS.
