i have the digital dash and there is a hobs swtich that i'm pretty sure controlls one or both of the lights for the stock turb boost thing (i won't call that a gauge) there is only one swtich but there are 2 different lights, for thoes of you not cursed with the digital dash i'll explain what happens. at about 5=7# of boose an orange light turns on, then at about 10# a red light turns on. but there is only one hobbs swtich. do these switches have 2 positions? i thought it was only one position. and is it adjustable, if it is i'll probably end up using it to put an alochol system together.

Nah. It is all tied in together via a 2-bar MAP sensor on your PS inner fender. It is all electronic.

The analog guages use the 2-bar Map sensor.

The digital dash cars use a hobbs switch type sensor.

I don't know anything though because my GN had an analog setup that's bee replaced with a GNX style dash.

i unpluged it just to see what woudl happen and neither light lit up, so it definatly controlls the lights, but what i'm wondering if that hobbs switch has 2 positions, eventhough it only has 2 poles, maybe difference resistances?

The pressure switch on a digital dash equip car has two wires going to it. I think it is a two stage but don't know for sure.
You could use a volt meter and hand pump to check out the switch.

aah, good idea! i'll go try it out.

It is a two stage Hobbs type switch.

There are two small screws with locknuts I believe that hold the adjustment.

I bought one new when they were still available. It didn't last long. I'd pass on that pressure switch and get a Hobbs switch. I've been running the same one for three years and picked it up used.
