Dropped out the rear axel from the Turbo T for a complete rebuild, installed an Eaton carrier, Richmond 3:42 gears, Moser axels, all new bearings, everything. Set up my pinion depth with a TD machine depth tool, honed out a set of front and back pinion bearings to do my shim set up with, pressed the" use" set of bearings on the pinion, used a non crush pinion nut for the set up, checked everything with 20 inch pounds of preload, right on the money, installed the ring gear and carrier with .005 pre load each side on the carrier bearings, pattern was beautiful first try. New brakes and drums, it is smooth and quiet, man am I happy.
