My passenger side rear bumper filler is starting to crack on the rear quarter side near the side of the bumper. I understand the originals from GM are urethane with really good fit and finish. I also did a search on this and didn't see a consensus on originals vs. replacement fiberglass ones. Yes, I do know the originals are right at $200.00 each new through GM Parts Direct! Since I have a nice one on the DS, I plan to stay with the urethane ones and hope to find a nice used piece. Some of the fit and finish problems with the fiberglass ones from what I read on the search from archives scare me somewhat and I question how close I could get a paint match with the white in realtion to the car for the "glass pieces? Can someone tell me exactly how the rear bumper fillers attach as to a removal and replacement procedure? I know it will be really tough on the chances of locating a suitable used piece from a junkyard donor car as these pieces don't hold up well over time and in direct UV conditions. If anyone has a nice used passenger side rear bumper filler, please PM or email me off line with a price, etc. Thanks!

To remove the bumper fillers, you need take pull off your taillights, which is done by removing the plastic wing nuts on the inside of the trunk. Once you remove the lights you will see a few of the the chinsy metal nuts that are used to hold them on. I think there are three or four along the top and then there are another three or four on inside along the side of the quarter panel. Once you get the lights off, removal of the fillers is pretty self explanatory.

Give BWeavy a shout from Gbodyparts.com he has something like 6 sets of them, and he is a great guy to deal with.

Let me know if you have any more questions,

Thanks Nathyn. I had thought that taking the taillight housings off was the ticket. Yes, I have Bweavey on my list! Thanks again.
