Hey guys. Recently installed rear UMI upper and lower control arms on the rear of my 87. Do you think replacing the stock rear sway bar with a UMI 1" sway bar is really going to make much of a difference or am I wasting money ?

I installed a BMR racing bar in mine, I run at the track a lot and it allowed me to remove the front bar. Made an unbelievable difference in launching

Yes I think it would help with body roll while cornering...HR Parts n Stuff makes the best rear sway bar in most peoples opinion...

If you want the best and have the cash the HR Bar is money well spent.

I had the same setup. Car launched straight with 1.60 60fts and cornered reasonably well. Most everyone here will say the HR style bars are the best if you have the $500 to spend. If not then at $150 the UMI bar is still a good improvement over stock.

HR Parts bar...end of story. Worth every penny. Once you buy it...you'll never be without one. You never see a used one for sale....cause you can upgrade to anything better...

spohn makes a nice bar too. Gns has a good one as well. I didn't know UMI had sway bars. They don't look too bad either

Just decided to go with the UMI bar. 143.00 free shipping on eBay. Can't go wrong for that price.
