rear window

Not the Hitchcock film with Jimmy Stewart, My rear window on my GN. I was wondering how to remove the outer trim without damaging it. I have a leak at the top and would like to re-caulk.

Check with your parts store, they have a window trim tool with a hook on the end that slides under the trim and releases the clips. Same tool works on the front windshield.

After you remove the reveal molding, push outward on the glass. If the glass is separating from the seal enough that the glass can flex outward, then you need to R&R or else it will continue to haunt you. If it is just a small leak around a clip or something, then resealing will do.
