I asked the same question a month ago. Everybody said 4-5 hundred bucks. Just the labor is 325 or so, and thats just to dis assemble, clean, and re assemble.

Go to my thread in the before black section. It might give you some ideas. I found a shop in Utah that sells parts and I'll see about posting the info later so you can contact them. It may not cost as much as you think if you're willing to do some of the work yourself.

I'm not sure about rebuilding a turbo myself, but I know it cost alot because of the precision. There is balancing involved, and i'm sure some other complicated stuff that requires special equipment. Have you ever noticed how the blades center, and sometimes the bolt that holds it in place is ground down? that's part of the balancing. If you can do that your self, then yeah, you would save your self some money. If not, you will explode your turbo, and all the crap from it will end up down your intake. If i'm wrong, let me know too! My turbo needs a rebuild:o

i tried taking a stock turbo apart a couple years ago and it did not go well.it was all seized up and could not get it apart

PrecisionTurbo did my TE60 about a month ago......The basic rebuild was $180. That was with new bearings, seals, balance and re-assembly. If you need hard parts, obvious it would be more. It took about a week from when they received it. They recomended I install one of there Oil Filter relocation kits as I had some junk in the Turbo. They kept in contact with me and think it was a great deal all around.

that was what i was hoping to hear.exactly what are hard parts?the wheels or shaft?

what was needed to your turbo and what was the costs involved and what was the total including shipping? thanks for all the help.

i just don't want to ship my turbo out ther hoping/planning on it costing $200 then costing $500 which i would have a harder time paying.
