I have rebuilt a 2004R and a lockup turbo 350 that had reverse problems when I rebuilt them. The 350 went into reverse before I rebuilt it, but had no foward gears. The 350 seems to have to warm up a little before it goes in any gear. The 2004R goes into reverse , but sluggishly. I don't have any pressure readings, I am just wanting a possibilty of what I did in rebuilding these and where I might have screwed up rebuilding them. I have successfully rebuilt 4 other similar trannys with no problems. I have read that many rebuilders replace front pumps rather than rebuild a used unit? Any comments will be welcomed!
