I have been looking for a good street legal 11's recipe even high 10's . Something that is reliable. But strong. This is gonna be my new setup would this put me in the low 11's or high 10's
Champion Heads
Champion intake manifold
atr dp
atr up pipe
atr cross pipe
atr exhaust"pipes and mufflers"
Je pistons .30 over
Forged rods
Forged crank
te-44 turbo
38# injectors
Roller cam and lifters
3:73 gears
3000 stall
Turbo Motion Intercooler
Under drive pulley
90 shot nos
87 ecm
K&N cold air induction
Mini Mag Chip
Hot wire

Will my car run high 10's or low 11's with my new setup. Or what else do I need to run low 11's high 10's

Allan:D

Injectors: you will need 50lbs or more.

Walbro 340 pump

Underdrive pullies: not needed

3.73s: will slow you down

Forged crank and rods: not needed and won't work in a stock block.

TE44 turbo would be pushing it. A 62 would be a better choice

Champion doesn't make an intake for these cars but TM does.

Intercooler: I would suggest buying a FM unit made for an 87 and adapt it to your car.

Roller cam isn't needed but would be nice if you have an extra $600.

The ATR DP might get you where you want to go but at that level a 3" pipe like Lee Thompson's would be nice.

I'm hoping that with the mods in my sig I will be able to go 10s.

setup? sounds more like a WISH LIST to me.

you seem to have a 100% stock car if youre listing a hotwire and a fuel pump and you forgot an adjustable FP reg too.. and an electric fan. a minimag is not going to get you there either. ..

ok, is this even a hotair or not? i dont really get ya.. but here ya go ill give you some price estimates ...

Champion Heads.. ~$1200, right guys?
Champion intake manifold
ATR system $900 (headers dp up crossover)
te-44 turbo $700
Roller cam and lifters $600
Turbo Motion kit $1200
87 ecm $50
K&N cold air induction $75
chip $50
Hot wire $60
fuel pump $90
adj reg $70

I think the bes thing for you to do first is to get your car running good. There have bene so many guys who spend a g note or 2 on parts, and do not see the improvement they want. So I would try tuning first, and add only sensible things to the car. Sure some of those things look good on the car, but not all of that will make it any faster? Best thing is to ask questions on the board. Most of the guys here have TONS of experience with these cars, and will offer their help. Talk to ttype84, he'll show you where its at :P

My combo below was good for 117mph at 3500ft elevation at 23psi. My ET sucked because I have no posi, and the nittos only netted me a 2.3 60'.

117 is good for low 11's. At a sea level track it would be good for 122ish mph which is LOOOOOOW 11's/High 10's with traction.

My reccomendations, go with a bigger turbo than the 44, a bit higher stall converter (they are fine on the street), 50# + injectors. a FM would be nice too, but its not needed, my car ran thoes speeds with the one Jason supplied with the intake kit.

Depending on how $$ goes, i'm going with a LE-70 stuffed in a TE-housing (already have the turbo), atr wastegate (have it), Champion CNC'd irons or GN1s, v2 or pte FM, and a felpro or DFI. Oh yeah, a posi too :) I'm shooting for 128-130mph mid to low 10's...

hopefully have it done by the nationals :)
