recommended air pressure for 255/50/16 tires

Hi all

I just got new goodyear tires for my GTA rims (255/50/16 & 235/55/16).

I am wondering what PSI I should run there tires. I was running my previous set at around 30-32 PSI... but I worn the centers out pretty quick because of over-inflation. It seems under-inflated if I run them under 30.

I just want to be able keep tire longer than 2 years.

I have 225/60's on all 4 corners.
I know exactly what you are talking about with wearing out the centers.
I have experimented on 2 different sets of tires with this.
I had an old Hoosier set that took higher pressure than I am running now, but they were 6ply tires.

I have BFG stnd grade TA'a right now and have to run them 24psi front, 22psi rear. This seems to make the most of the contact patch with my stock GN rims (7"). They still wear kind of funny, but I attribute that to the wide tire on a narrow rim and that my fron t end is a little "off".

If the GTA rims are wider, you can probably run a higher psi than me.
