I've searched the archives and not come up with anything definite. What's the recommended level of overfilll for a 200r4 with the stock filter pickup. Call me paranoid but I just have a hard time overfilling. Maybe it's all those years of dad saying you NEVER overfill a Tranny.

It seems like a full quart is Way too much when filled to that level the trans starts hard shifting when hot. Drained back down to the upper end of the cross hatch puts it back to "normal"

1/2 a quart is good but if you want to fix this problem buy a PTS bottom feed pan.

Every car is different.
The pan would end any issues. But, I like between 1/2 to 1 qt depending on the car.

Fill to the middle of the back and forth bends on the dipstick and you will be good.

true true. does depend on the car. there are alot of good vendors that carry deep pans that will fix this problem i just happend to like the PTS pan.

$$$$$$ well spent. $$$$ now will save more $$$$$$$$ Later :)

I also agree a deeper pan is the FIX for this issue.
I used to use the Art Carr style pan but use the Hughes now.
