Recommended Trans Upgrades?

What seems to be the absolute must on keeping these 200r4's together? Keep hearing how guys are going through transmissions like crazy, or having to have them fixed or rebuilt all the time. My car only has 67,000 miles on it and I'm about to put an Art Carr basic shift kit in it with a fresh filter and fluid.
What can I expect, hoping to go at least mid 11's very shortly.
Any other options available, or recommended? Thanks again!
