This kinda a ricer movie but so far so good!

Here is a pic of the car, anyone recognize it?

It looks like a GN that belonged to my friend Rod Thomas. It was painted viper red as I recall. I was the one that told him he didn't have the balls to do it, ultimately he proved me wrong. I don't think it's the same car but his car passed thru several different owners in the past 7-8 years so you never know.

Car is owned by Ali Ashfar of ESX Motorsports, same company that built the Subaru's for the movie.

He is also the producer or director of the movie, IIRC.

I saw the car, in person, at a monthly cruise night here about 12-18mo ago.

Nice 10sec DD, beautiful all around, that drives on street tires with slicks in the trunk.

I thought it was good movie...better race scenes than any of the Fast n Furious movies. Very accurate also, like when the TR spools up during this race...most movies would have used a sound clip from a V8 instead of the V6.

but they still screwed up on others...the little red pickup with a diesel that sounded like a big block.
I just hate all the shifting and feet scenes.....who the hell shifts that much???
Hollywood needs an auto adviser that specifically makes sure all automotive or anything that has an engine makes the right sound on film...
